The Painting Party organised by Doortje was an absolute blast and a must do with friends, family or colleagues!
It was obvious that she had carefully thought about every detail of the session and had planned it to perfection. From the artwork chosen (just the right level of difficulty for us novice painters), to the seating arrangement, to the snacks and treats and the curated Spotify playlist – loved the vibe!
All along the way, Doortje was gently nudging us to find our inner creatives and helping with tips, tricks and guidance to bring our canvases to completion. Her own art at display certainly served as inspiration!
Can’t think of a better way to spend a gloomy Sunday (or any other day!) afternoon. Surely coming back for another round with friends and family.

Doortje is a talented artist, empathic and effective teacher during her painting workshop in her cozy atelier. As a complete beginner, I was initially nervous, fearing I wouldn’t create something nice. However, Doortje sensed our apprehension and expertly eased us into the experience with delightful and straightforward exercises, helping us feel at ease with the colors and the process. Attending the workshop with my boyfriend was a wonderful experience; our paintings complemented each other beautifully. I found the entire session immensely enjoyable and inspiring. Connecting with the other participants added to the experience, creating a warm, encouraging atmosphere. It felt like everyone drew inspiration from one another, resulting in outstanding artworks. I sincerely recommend joining Doortje’s workshop to anyone seeking not only to enhance their (innate) painting skills but also to enjoy a welcoming, inspiring artistic environment.

I had a great workshop with Doortje! It is very cozy in her studio and she makes sure everyone feels comfortable. She will help you get started, but there is also a lot of freedom to get to work with your own creativity. Doortje patiently answers all questions and she is genuinely enthusiastic about everyone’s work. Educational and very relaxed, highly recommended!

The workshop with Doortje was a great experience. She guided us through the different steps and provided us all the tools to express our creativity. The atmosphere was very cozy and we had enough time to get familiar with the brushes and the colors. The result was amazing! The painting used as reference was perfect, not too hard and open for every personal expression. I found it very mindful and a perfect couple activity. If, as in my case, you do it with a group of friends, then the experience is even better. Highly recommend🙂
